Description
BL22 Stress Filler is used to fill deeper damage on flexible areas such as seating. Apply a small amount with a fine brush or toothpick and dry. More than one application may be required and once the depth of the damaged has been reduced you can also use (but not necessary) BL13 Leather Filler to finish. Cracks in leather appear because the leather has dried out. Cracks can be of any depth and can have hard raised edges. It is worth trying to lightly sand the cracks to reduce the appearance to try to make them look like natural creases, this will reduce the amount of filler that is applied. If sanding first, we recommend using 800grit.
Application:
Using a fine brush such as our Dye Detail Brush or tooth pick, fill the damaged area removing any excess from surrounding areas.
Dry with a hairdryer and re-apply to build up and reduce the depth of the damage.
We advise that you check the finish by applying a small amount of neat dye over the repair, dry with hairdryer and re-apply of need.
If you only require a minor application to better the finish then we advise using BL13 Leather filler which is much easier to work with once dry and perfect for minor filling.
BL22 Stress Filler is also used when patch or tear repairs have been undertaken.
