Tim Shaws Porsche 911 (993): Retrim

Interior Retrims - Gallery

Local to Bespoke Leathering, Tim Shaw (also known as the bloke from 5th Gear) dropped the interior for his Porsche 911 (993) into us for a make over. The leather seats had the usual wear plus some heavy heat damage to one of the rear squabs. Doorcards had been water damaged so no going back for them. Tim wanted a slight colour change with some added leather on a few other parts.

Leather choice for the two tone finish was BMW’s Exclusive individual Merino Black Nappa & Merino Caramel Nappa. Merino Nappa has a slightly heaver grain with a thickness of approximately 1.8mm which is .6-.8 thicker than "quality" Nappa and although thicker it's just as soft.

The front door cards had to be built from scratch due to water damage. The black centres of the doorcards were recovered in Caramel with the addition of some top stitching.

Front and rear seats Black/Caramel and door pockets which were black carpet were changed to Caramel faces leading onto smooth black smooth Nappa Top sections. Tim's Porsche is being fully rebuilt, once we have the car back the rear doorcards will be fitted, stitching aligned and finished to match the front. So more pictures to come!
